CSRYE18 Session 3: "Meeting with District 6540 Chairman Chris Olson"

Following the ice breakers, every district had a group meeting with their chairman. Our group meeting, although brief and not extremely important, was still nice. We received our conference shirts and did introductions mainly to meet the rebounds who had just arrived back into the country and their parents. One of the rebounds, Mike Shanks, literally arrived from his exchange in Berlin, Germany a day before the conference. Over the course of the weekend I was able to talk to him about his exchange and he was very helpful on giving advice/tips for my upcoming trip. He has been through a lot in these past couple years however, he was very open to talking about it with me and all the other outbounds. In result I believe it has helped bring our district closer, which is something many of the other rebounds (although still very nice) didn't try to do. Me along with the other outbounds all agree that he has by far been our favorite rebound. Along with him were Delaney Fritch (coming back from Peru), Jocelyn Reyes (coming back from Denmark), Elizabeth Solis (coming back from Japan), Caitlyn Forrest (coming back from Brazil), and Lily Porter (coming back from Spain).

I realized that I don't have very many formal photos from this conference so here is a picture I took on snapchat of Ava, Mike, and I chillin' in a dorm room while Ava looks for her stuff we concluded someone stole :)
