SAVANAH IS HERE!
As the day I leave for Germany continues to get closer and closer everything is becoming more real. That is, in the sense that I am now in the bittersweet goodbye phase leading up to my departure. On the 21st, I am having my going away party in which family and friends will be flying in from out of state and driving from all around Indiana to come celebrate. The first person to fly in today was my best friend Savanah. We have been close friends since I first moved to Colorado (I think I was 11 years old) and have kept in contact ever since, even with my other family moves. Being best friends we try to visit each other once or twice a year if possible, and we have both done multiple trips (me to Colorado and Savanah to Seattle and now Indiana). The last time I saw her was during Spring Break of 2017, when I went to Avon, Colorado to visit her for a weekend. Since it has been over a year since we have last seen each other, I was very excited when she made it a priority to come and visit me before I left for Germany! We have some fun things planned to do while she is here, such as going to Chicago, but for the most part we will just be hanging out (also with my other family who is coming to visit), spending time together, and partying before I leave!
